Over the years the event has grown in popularity with thousands of visitors coming to the Bartica. What used to be only simple boat racing in times past, now features activities that encompass a series of events that cater for every segment of society.

The Regatta Committee’s collaboration with DC Promotions has made it possible for the public to enjoy a range of quality events resulting in Bartica being one of the major tourism destinations in Guyana.

It is always fun and excitement when the boat races kick off, and the large crowd of spectators yelling and screaming in wild abandon at the skill of popular racers powering and manoeuvring their boats for top honours in the various categories of races.
